Chuck E. Cheese, thank you!

My mother came over earlier to pick my 2 year old daughter up to take her to Chuck E. Cheese. Well, she's just like me and is a complete klutz. She walked right into something and has a black eye now. My mom didn't complain because it was my daughter's fault, but did fill out an incident report. The manager gave her a teddy bear, a ticket worth 100 tickets, and about 50 tokens. I'm very happy to see how Chuck E. Cheese handled this, even though it was my daughter's fault. We always liked going there, and I'm happy to go there again now.

I always like to see how associates are with children, and I've only had a few bad experiences with that. I was watched a child flip out of the cart and the manager started screaming at the mother for not being more careful, all while this child is bleeding and screaming/crying.

Should I write an email or call the manager at the store to say that I was happy how this was handled and thanks??

MM Deal at CVS

This week at CVS, there is a deal going on where you buy 2 sunglasses and you receive a $10 ECB back. Well, it seems like the trial sized gods did it for us again. If you buy 2 of the Lens Cleaning Tissues at 99¢ each, it also triggers the ECB, making it an $8 MM. The UPC is 8 83019 00550 7. Here's a picture:

3 Stores in 3 days... and still looking for more!

*33 Glade Tin Candles $1.67
-31 $1.50 MQ's (found inside the tin)
-2 $2/1 MQ's adjusted to $1.67 (from SC Johnson coupon booklet)

*14 Hefty OneZip Travel Packs $0.97
-14 $0.97 MQ's (these were adjusted, and they ended up giving me an extra as I look at it now)

*20 Bliss Chocolate Bars $0.99 (I used them on the Saturday, the last day to use them)
-20 $0.99 TQ's (self-adjusted)

*2 Glade Plug-in Warmers $1.99
-2 FREE MQ's (from SC Johnson coupon booklet)

*5 Glade Refills $2.89
-5 MQ's for a free refill WYB Glade Tin Candles (from April All You magazine)

*3 Trial Size Hello Kitty Band-aids $0.99
-3 $1/1 MQ's (cashier didn't adjust these)

*1 Trial Size St. Ives $0.97
-$1.50/1 MQ adjusted to $0.97

*4 Minute Maid 10 pack juice box $0.69

*1 Market Pantry 8 pack juice box $0.59

*1 large package of Balloons (needed for birthday party) $4.99

After Q's and taxes: $21.99 ($8.39 was tax)
Total Saved: $150.15

I'm still looking for more of those Glade tin candles, they are amazing!!! They are on a temporary price cut through June 22nd for $1.67, and have $1.50/1 coupons right inside the lid! Oh and a little FYI on the juice boxes, because I did not type the prices wrong. Every once in a while, Target screws up. We all do. Well, these packages are supposed to be at the food counter sold individually, not on the shelves. So, you are charged the price of one instead. And don't worry, I've spoke to both corporate and a few different managers about this. If you find one, you get to buy it for the price it rings up (either $0.59 for the MP or $0.69 for the MM)! Happy shopping!!

*How does the earning toward Reward Certificates work?
Each time that you make a qualifying purchase at a participating Kmart store, you will earn at least 1% in rewards. Cosmetics, skin and sun care will earn 10% and certain purchases will earn even more. One week after the end of each calendar quarter, Reward Certificates will be automatically printed at the register when you use your Kmart Smart Rewards card while making a purchase at a participating store, if you have earned at least $3.00 in rewards. When you haven't accumulated enough rewards to receive at least a $3.00 Reward Certificate, your rewards will roll into the next quarter. See Terms and Conditions for complete details.

*How will I receive Reward Certificates?
Reward Certificates will be printed automatically the first time you scan your Kmart Smart Rewards card and make a purchase at a participating store approximately one week after the end of each calendar quarter. The Certificate prints so that you can save it for your next visit to Kmart. Reward Certificates will be issued as long as you've earned at least $3.00 in rewards.

*How can I check my Kmart Smart Rewards account to see how close I am to a reward?
Once you've created an online account and logged in to this site, you can view your account information and see your statement within the Rewards Activity section. Or you can call (800) 991-8708.

*My statement is showing that I've accrued a certain amount of rewards, but I know I've spent more than that. What happened?
It can take up to 48 hours for your rewards to show online and one week after the end of the quarter to print your Reward Certificate out at the register. Your rewards are being tabulated as long as you are using your Kmart Smart Rewards card each time you shop at a participating store. If you have receipts that are not reflected in your Reward Activity pages on the member site, call customer service at (800) 991-8708.

*My statement is showing that I've earned a Reward Certificate for this quarter. How do I get my Reward Certificate?
Approximately one week after the end of each calendar quarter, a Reward Certificate will be printed automatically the first time you scan your Kmart Smart Rewards card and make a purchase at a participating store. It will be available to use for your next purchase so keep it in a safe place. Reward Certificates will be issued as long as you've earned at least $3.00 in rewards.

*When I get a Reward Certificate, how long is it good for?
Reward Certificates expire 60 days from the date they are printed for you at the store. You will see the expiration date on the Certificate, so be sure to use it by that date.

*What special offers and deals can I get as a member of Kmart Smart Rewards?
The Kmart Smart Rewards program is designed to give you offers that are tailored to you. In addition to the Reward Certificates that you can earn, we will send you offers that match your shopping preferences.

Terms and conditions will print on each offer to indicate how and where it can be used.

*Can I use my offers and Reward Certificates with other discounts and specials from Kmart?
Some offers can be combined, and some cannot. Each offer and Reward Certificates' terms and conditions will specify whether it can be combined with other offers.

Joining Kmart Smart Rewards

*How do I enroll in Kmart Smart Rewards?
There are two ways to enroll. You can click Join Now and fill out the membership form. You can also enroll by asking a sales associate at a participating Kmart store for a Kmart Smart Rewards enrollment brochure. It takes just a few minutes to sign up and you can start earning right away. At this time, participating stores are located in the following cities and surrounding areas: Atlanta, GA; Buffalo, NY; Grand Rapids, MI; Bakersfield, CA; and Louisville, KY. Check with your local Kmart store to see if it is participating.

3 stores, 3 amazing trips!!

First on my list of the day was Kmart. I was there the other day and saw some Scotch pop-up tapes on clearance for $0.49 each. I remembered seeing a $0.75/1 printable coupon out there so immediately came home to print them, but wasn't able to go back to the store that day. So today I stopped there first. This is how I did:

3 rolls of Scotch Tape (clearanced to $1 each)
19 Scotch pop-up tapes (clearanced to $0.49 each)
-1 $1.50/3 rolls of Scotch tape Q
-12 $0.75/1 Scotch pop-up tape Q's
Subtotal: $10.81 before coupons
Total after coupons and tax: $2.88 (tax was $1.05)

They couldn't figure out how to mark the pop-up tape coupons down so instead they took them at face value and got as close to the amount as possible without going over. Plus, I got a $3 off any purchase coupon for scanning my K'ching card (their new rewards card) so a MM!!!! If anyone knows of any coupons on the Scotch pop-up tape refills, let me know as they were clearanced to $0.59 each. Also, the Scotch contour tape was clearanced for $0.64, I'd love if someone knew about some coupons on these too *hint hint*

Next on my list for the day was Walgreens. I had well over $250 in RR's to spend because of the Bayer contour meters deal this month, and they expired today so I had to use them up. I didn't buy a lot of deals, but instead spent it on things we usually don't get with coupons. Here's how I did:

1 Kodak Digital Camera $99.99
5 Tuf Paper Towels $0.89 each (on sale with in-ad Q for $0.59 each)
2 Slim Jim $1.39 each (hubby came, and so did the kids)

-49 $5 RR's from Bayer deal
-2 $1 Charmin Q's
-2 $1 Neosporin Q's
-1 $2.00 Hawaiian Tropic Q
Subtotal: $292.07 before coupons and sales
Total after coupons and tax: $21.59 ($19.04 was tax) and rec'd a $4 RR for the Neosporin

Some of the items are for trains/exchanges and some are for Jayden's birthday party in 3 weeks.

Next on my list is a local grocery store called Jubilee. This week Duncan Hines brownie mixes are on sale for $0.79 each.

11 boxes of Duncan Hines Brownies $0.79 each
-11 $0.35/1 Duncan Hines Brownies (doubled to $0.70)

Coupon Swap Part II

I told you it was coming up and here it is! We had our coupon swap on Tuesday evening at a local mall. It was tons of fun! And yes, they even put a crown and a tiara on the "coupon queen" (yours truly). I'm only posting the one picture because I don't want any issues with anyone because they didn't want their pictures on the internet. Mostly everyone's heads are turned and you really can't see the others who aren't, other than me. Sorry guys, just trying to cover my tush here. I also got word that there will be another one coming up soon, so look for that post in the near future as well! :)

Zoo Trip

Sorry that it took me a few extra days to post this, but it's been hectic. Here's pictures from our zoo trip on Sunday. Lexi loved it, especially the elephants, those are her favorite. We'll definitely be buying a membership, and you sure as heck know that I had coupons for admission, and for the membership LOL

Here's the elephants that Lexi loved so much!

Too bad we couldn't pet them. Maybe we'll go to the circus sometime soon so she can pet them.

I was so scared that this polar bear would fall into the ditch they have to prevent the animals from escaping. His paws were curling on the edge, it was very nerve-wrecking.

Note: No, the polar bear isn't hurt/dead, he's sleeping. It was a very hot day so I don't blame him.

She wasn't so excited about the rhinoceros though.

She loved the train with daddy!

These were the deer and peacocks. Yes, they keep them in the same cage apparently. We also saw some of Santa's reindeer a little later on the trip.

This is the baby leopard, she was so pretty. She kept pacing around her cage.

Turtles, fish, and crocodiles... Oh my! There were a couple red-ish, pink birds, but I can't remember their names.

This is also part of the Zoo's newest exhibit, Rainforest Falls. It was so beautiful, so really humid, and you couldn't bring in strollers. :(

Mommy, Jayden and Lexi. Jayden was amazed by the water.

March for Babies Walk

Well, the March for Babies walk went great! Here's some pictures (my hubby is in blue, I'm in white, he's pushing the double stroller) :

We're up under the bridge in this next one:

We were with our Momlikeme team the whole time, which included 2 single strollers, a double stroller, and a triple stroller! The mom pushing the triple stroller was amazing! Didn't need help at all!

I'll be back later on to post about our zoo trip after the walk! Lexi loved it!!

GDA: Clorox Wipes at Target

Clorox wipes are $2.54 at my Target, go to http://www.cloroxclassrooms.com/ for a B2G1 MQ (print twice) and on the Target Coupon Database, there are $1/1 TQ. YMMV, but I was able to use 3 TQ with 1 MQ and get all 3 for $2.08!

Tops Supermarkets Amazing Shopping Trip!!

So I went to 2 different locations and I'm sooo glad I did! I originally went into the stores looking for the 6 pk. of Aquafina Flavorsplash that is on sale for $2 this weekend and came out with 119 items for less than $94!!!

Between the 2 stores I got:

32 6-packs of Aquafina Flavorsplash $3.79 originally
79 cans of Juicy Juice on clearance $2.45 originally
5 packages of Halls cough drops $1.49 originally
1 Marcal 24 pk. toilet paper $7.99 originally
2 Marcal Tissues $1.79 originally
=$333.85
-$57.28 sale on Aquafina
-$96.38 clearance Juicy Juice
-$2.99 sale Marcal toilet paper
-$1.58 sale Marcal tissues
=$175.62
-32 $1/1 Aquafina Flavorsplash (Thanks Moonflower, Kayline, and momto3ms!!)

I kind of want to see if any other locations have more clearance Juicy Juice, but I'm sure my hubby would kill me. So, heads up for everyone: the canned Juicy Juice will be officially gone from all stores soon, they are going to the more eco-friendly plastic bottle.

Fudge-a-licious

So, anyone who knows my family knows that we LOVE chocolate. The same goes for the little ones in the family. I ordered some fudge from a fellow member on a coupon forum and I stupidly left it on the table while I tended to my son. Well, Lexi got ahold of it and literally tore the foil off and dove in! I don't think it'll last through tomorrow. Thank you KeizerElf for the best fudge ever! If anyone wants to know how to get ahold of her, let me know. It's delicious!

March of Dimes: March For Babies

The March for Babies walk is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. The walk is on April 26th, and it's a 3.5 mile walk.

If you are wondering why I think it's such a great cause, here are 3 beautiful reasons:
This cause really hits home for me because I would have had my daughter at 5 1/2 months gestation and my son at 7 months if not for my great OB/GYN (among other things), and thankfully had them only a few weeks early. My friend's son was born 3 months early and because of good hospital staff and the March For Babies, he's a happy healthy 4 year old. The last 2 times I was able to do the walk since his birth, I was pregnant and on bed rest to prevent my own premature deliveries, so I'm really excited to walk proudly with both of my healthy children.

If anyone would like to help me reach my goal and donate to this great cause, you can click on the link to the right. You can donate any amount on the right hand side of the page.

Here's where your money would be going:
"77% of every dollar supports research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And your funds are used to bring comfort and information to families whose baby was born too soon, or sick."

Any donation amount is appreciated! It truly is a great cause.

Coupon Swap #2

Back in February, we did a local coupon swap, which was a big hit!!! Well, come May 5th, we will be doing another one! I'll be speaking at that one too so if anyone has any questions, please let me know. And of course, I'll be back to add the pictures from that one too :)

The most hysterical piece of mail-EVER!

So, a few months ago someone on AFC posted about a freebie... well the freebie was a box of 500 condoms! I ordered it as a joke, but today I think the joke was on me. My poor mailman... this box is huge!

Soooo.... anyone want to buy a condom from me? LOL

I was there when Kmart opened and they were out of a lot of items. And also, a few things that I planned on getting were higher priced than what they were mentioned on here. I didn't realize I had enough stuff for 5 transactions, and I only printed 4 $5/$50 so I could've used that too, but all in all I did pretty good. I know the H & S was almost 1/2 of my total too ($21 worth) but $1.50 each is a good price and my hubby uses it like there's no tomorrow. I'm hoping to go back on Friday as I still have tons of Q's (that's what I did last doubles and they were restocking) so hopefully my savings will be higher.

Total Spent: $73.65 (and have $1 RR and $4 ECBs to spend in the future)
Total Saved: $769.56, about 91%!

I didn't take pictures because I put most of it away before I thought about it.

The sad thing is, I thought I'd be all shopped out, but I'm still on a high from Kmart and Rite Aid!!
